Ana Cecília Cossi Bizon

I have been Professor at the University of Campinas (Department of Applied Linguistics, area: Language and Education) since 2015. Based on an ethnographically oriented approach, my research  focuses on minority/minoritized contexts, with particular interest in issues related to the context of Portuguese as an Additional Language (Português como Língua Adicional – PLA), notably in the following themes: PLA teaching-learning in different contexts, for different audiences and with different purposes, teacher education,  internationalization of higher education, identities and territorialization, racialization, language and inclusion policies for crisis migrants. As leader of the IndisciPLAr Research Group (https://www2.iel.unicamp.br/indisciplar/). I have been developing research and social projects that seek to contribute to the construction of a PLA area that is both politically engaged and responsive to contemporary social demands.
